Don Oberdorfer was the author of two widely acclaimed works of contemporary history: Tet!, a National Book Award finalist, and The Turn: From the Cold War to a New Era. A veteran of thirty-eight years on the Washington Post, he received many journalism awards and Princeton University's Woodrow Wilson Award for public service. 

His books include Tet!, The Turn, The Two Koreas, and Senator Mansfield.
